Argos game, anyone?

"Perhaps the rookie that impressed the Argonauts coaching staff the most in training camp was Jason. The Boatmen University graduate hails from parts unknown and prides himself on defending his turf, his teammates and most of all, the Toronto Argonauts fans! Jason appears at all Toronto Argonauts home games, with shield in hand, to help lead the team to another GREY CUP CHAMPIONSHIP!

If you see Jason around at the Rogers Centre, or at an event near you, give him a high five, a pat on the back, a handshake or even ask him for a hug or a photo. He loves it when Argo fans approach him! "

So there you have it, if that isn't reason enough to cheer on our very own Chris Boyd as the Argos mascot, then...I don't know what to do! We have a few options to cheer Chris and the Argos on and here are the potential dates:
  • Thursday, September 29 @ 7:30 vs. Ottawa Renegades
  • Monday, October 10 @ 1:00 vs. Edmonton Eskimos
  • Thursday, October 27 @ 7:30 vs. Hamilton Tiger Cats

Let me know who's interested and we can get some tickets! Let's get a big group out and have a good time...(email me - scottgmoore@mac.com). Go Argos!

(PS - Chris also loves it when people approach him and ask for a photo when he's out of uniform...)

Sunday, August 28 Get-Together

We will be meeting at Monica’s house at 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 28.

We’ll play some ultimate and/or soccer for a bit and then head back to Monica’s house to hang-out, reflect on summer and look ahead to the fall. Hopefully you can all make it! If you could RSVP to let me know, that would be much appreciated.

Monica’s address is 58 Stuart Avenue (not Crescent) and her postal code is M2N 1B3 for any Mapquesters. She lives very close to Yonge & Sheppard. If you are coming from Yonge & 401:
Head north on Yonge Street
· Turn RIGHT onto Florence
· Turn LEFT onto Radine (this is key)
· Go through a bunch of stop signs
· Turn LEFT onto Stuart Avenue and Mon is #58
If you need more clarification or are coming from elsewhere, just email me. Bring your running shoes (or cleats if you’re extra hardcore and cool) and if you have anything you would like the rest of us to eat, please feel free to bring it, otherwise we’ll have some snacks, etc. at Mon’s house.

On another note, if you could keep Mon and my dad in your prayers that would be much appreciated. He had surgery today to remove his prostate (due to cancer), and thankfully, the surgery went well. Pray for a speedy recovery and that the cancer has not spread to any other areas.
Peace, Scott & Mon

Vocation Blog #1

Welcome to the Vocation blog! Everyone probably entitles their first blog entry blog #1 or something like that, don't they...I guess I'm lacking creativity at the moment...

Hopefully this will become a useful communication tool for us all. I will send out details so that anyone can post to this blog, or if you would prefer, simply email me (Scott) and I can post whatever...we can figure out the details later!

I'm excited for the fall and looking forward to more structure/routine as opposed to this summer when I seemed to be all over the place.

Your ideas and inputs about anything with respect to Vocation are always desired and respected, so please keep 'em coming!
